"They" don't build ovirt stuff. It seems that the mirror provider does not
filters content based on vhost. Gentoo stuff is here:

You're right, this happens to work because
rsync.nl.gentoo.org is a
CNAME to ftp.snt.utwente.nl which mirrors a couple of projects, among
others Gentoo and oVirt. The same machine also serves
ftp.nl.debian.org
but that is on another IP.
