You will probably need some more advanced node image (with rpm-build and such) . Contact me on IRC if you would like my help using docker and preparing such containers. Alex. On 08/28/2014 10:46 AM, Eyal Edri wrote:
hi,
actually, there is anew docker image [1] you can also use of jenkins created by alex from redhat. attaching also a presentation he did this week on it, that might help.
As for the 'xml', i assume you mean 'yaml' used by jenkins job builder [2] to create jenkins jobs. you can readh the docs for it on [2], or consult with dcaro which wrote the the yaml files for the create rpms jobs.. , you'll need another job that publish those yaml to jenkins [3].
good luck!

Hey guys,
I am following http://www.ovirt.org/Local_Jenkins_For_The_People in order to set up a build env for ovirt-engine. I've got the basic setup running but I'd like to be able to build rpms in the same way that we do on oVirt.org. I came across the 'jenkins' repo in gerrit but I can't figure out how to use that to create an XML file for the create_rpms job suitable for import into jenkins. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
