This allows you to turn "unwanted" columns off and re-arrange those which are visible to match your personal preference.

Really useful However, I would filter out status columns since this column does not have a title and also I can not see a use-case of removing this column from the view
There's also RFE [3] to persist (remember) such column settings in the browser, similar to persisting other client-side options.
