Any info for analyzing Ovirt??

Dear Ovirt I aminterested in developing VDI using Ovirt. I need to know how Ovirt works in coding level because I might have to change or verify the Ovirt code. So, if you send me any info, such as UML(Unified Model Language), it would be very thankful. Hope for your help Sincerely yours Hyunsoo Lee.

Hi Hyunsoo, Can you describe in more details what do you want do? For high level view, you can look here: http://www.ovirt.org/Architecture For more info, I think you should try to ask more specific questions. Nir

Dear Nir I want to make a VDI solution using Ovirt. But, to sell it in Korea, we need to pass through the Korean Common Criteria(CC) for security reason. Moreover, if our customers complain about any errors because of Ovirt itself, we have to fix it in code level of Ovirt. Even, we need to add more customized features to Ovirt to make more competitive VDI solution. To cover the above issues, our developers should know the internal structure of Ovirt, and could change, verify, or add some codes to the source code of Ovirt. For the start, UML could be the first step for analyzing Ovirt by our developers. Can you help me if you have other suggestions to start analyzing the source code of Ovirt in detail?? Hope for your reply. Sincerely yours. Hyunsoo Lee 2014-11-02 6:16 GMT+09:00 Nir Soffer <nsoffer@redhat.com>:

Hi, I think you must read ovirt wiki first and carefully. And the best way to understand engine's architecture is reading source code. Until then you can't write program by your own. No easy way, it's so bad. 2014-11-2 上午11:06于 "이현수" <lhs4015@gmail.com>写道:

Ovirt is based on gwtp, I think you should learn gwt first
the oVirt GUI (web-admin-portal, user-portal) is based on GWT/GWTP, however if your (Hyunsoo's) intention is to write a VDI solution of your own based on the oVirt-engine API/SDK / vdsm / ..., and not changing/extending the oVirt GUI code itself, then learning/knowing GWT/GWTP is definitely NOT a requirement.
