hover_to_id couldnt find element compute

Hi all, Almost two years ago I started a thread on this list with the same subject. Eventually I pushed a small patch to make it try longer (24 seconds instead of 2.4). Later this happened again, but I didn't post publicly - only corresponded with Greg Sheremeta who helped me originally (and is now in OpenShift), not doing anything else eventually. At the time, he said this might not have been simple normal slowness, but some other problem. Now it happened again: https://jenkins.ovirt.org/view/oVirt%20system%20tests/job/ovirt-system-tests... Last screenshot, taken before the failure, just shows "Loading ...", just as then. Any UI expert wants to spend some time looking at this? Perhaps adding what's needed to have more debug information etc.? For now I'll just retry, anyway. Thanks and best regards, -- Didi

Hi, I looked into the job and I didn't find anything suspicious - I would guess it was really a simple slowness.. However, there are several things that could help to debug in the future: 1. While the delay of 24 seconds is reasonable for hovering over the menu, I do not think it is sufficient as timeout for loading the whole ovirt page after the login. I suggest to wait for the page to load after the login and then to run the left nav test. 2. There is a screenshot saved in driver.py after the wait_for_id fails but it is not saved into the same directory as the test stores screenshots. It is therefore not visible in Jenkins. I suggest storing all screenshots (coming from driver and coming from test) in one directory. If there is nobody eager to deep dive into the UI tests I can make the changes.
