why host deploy install packages except for vdsm ?

Hi I have noticed that host deploy installs several packages which are not VDSM deps. Its : tuned kexec-tools iptables-services. If VDSM needs them maybe it can pull them in using dependencies? And if not why are they installed. -- Best regards Tolik Litovsky RHEV-H Team Red Hat Red Hat: trustworthy, transformative technology. Powered by the community. Connect at redhat.com

it is not vdsm that needs them, it is host configuration that we require. vdsm can work any tuning of a machine, it does not and should not care how you optimize the machine. system dump is the same. and so firewall. Alon

Does it make sense to let some component require (in the spec) those packages? - fabian
