Any idea why I'm getting this errors while trying to re-install a hosted-engine-host from its hosted ovirt-engine?
It was fixed by the following patch 2 days ago: https://gerrit.ovirt.org/#/c/39557/

I updated to ovirt-engine-3.6.0-0.0.master.20150405172242.git35c8428.el7.centos.noarch The problem ("Unable to get value of property: 'vdsName'") is still present. Was this patch (39557) included in the build (20150405172242.git35c8428)? How to check? If not, is there any way to get a RPM with this patch without checking out via git and building it on my own env? Or is there any easy way to downgrade to a given version/date? Thanks.

I downloaded and installed artifacts from Jenkins (http://jenkins.ovirt.org/view/Master%20branch%20per%20project/view/ovirt-eng...) and was able to successfully activate the hosted-engine-host from its hosted-engine on glusterfs. Nice! I will continue testing hosted-engine-ha. Best regards, Christopher.

The problem fixed by the mentioned patch was the inability to start the engine server: 2015-04-06 14:15:52,683 ERROR [org.ovirt.engine.core.bll.InstallVdsCommand] (ajp--127.0.0.1-8702-2) [4955a1dc] Exception: java.lang.NullPointerException While the message regarding the 'Unable to get value of property: 'vdsName'' is a warning and shouldn't have any effect on any action. I proposed a fix for it as well: https://gerrit.ovirt.org/#/c/39824/
