This is probably unrelated to the suspected patch, but related to this patch[1] which reverts a solution to this issue. There is a new patch awaiting merge[2] which provides a temporary hack to resolve this until we have a way to poll a job's status. FWIW, it's unfortunately not a reliable temporary hack, the error can still be observed from time to time.
