there is an option to use the tunneled migration [1] which is an overhead to CPU but is safer. You can enable it per VM or per cluster (but only using REST API, not in UI. IIRC it is the "tunnelMigration" field) [1]: https://libvirt.org/migration.html#transporttunnel Tomas
