[Engine-devel] project meetings on irc?

I'd like to suggest holding our project status meetings on IRC. RichFaces does this (http://community.jboss.org/wiki/richfacesteammeetinginformation) and appears to have great success with it. There is a tool (http://wiki.debian.org/MeetBot) that will record, summarize and publish the minutes of the meeting automagically. Jon

I agree - having open meetings in the easiest to access format is crucial to an open source project: http://bit.ly/StartingTOSW [1] BTW, meetbot is on the short-list for Infrastructure projects, probably the first thing I'll tackle when the workshop is clearly All Good. It should be very easy. - Karsten [1] Full fat URL: https://www.theopensourceway.org/wiki/How_to_loosely_organize_a_communi= ty#Get_things_started_immediately_with_the_simplest_and_most_open_communica= tion_methods_available_plus_a_meeting_time --=20 name: Karsten 'quaid' Wade, Sr. Community Gardener team: Red Hat Community Architecture & Leadership uri: http://communityleadershipteam.org http://TheOpenSourceWay.org gpg: AD0E0C41 --sxUMTo9WXJrtNoGr Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.11 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFOsHZx2ZIOBq0ODEERAsIzAJ957dA06mqbkw3R2meqbUT1GMioZwCgu8ER 4QBI78slXatRXRezPPoJgoI= =rw3b -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --sxUMTo9WXJrtNoGr--

Is this list for the engine project only or for all ovirt projects? I'd love to help out if possible, can we publish this list anywhere? currently it covers most aspects of the engine. we'll probably consider splitting out specific topics to their own mailing lists going forward.

they are all public: http://www.ovirt.org/project/subprojects/
Thanks,

Thanks Itamar, I was actually after a list of infrastructure projects such as meetbot etc that I could help out with if possible. Sorry for the confusion with my use of the term 'list' above. Lee
Thanks,
Lee

Alan _______________________________________________ Engine-devel mailing list Engine-devel@ovirt.org http://lists.ovirt.org/mailman/listinfo/engine-devel I don't think that is what he is looking for either. I believe he is looking for Karsten's
"short-list for Infrastructure projects" and not a mailing list.

We're also doing some organizing here on the wiki: http://ovirt.org/wiki/Infrastructure About meetbot, I planned to use supybot-meetbot from EPEL, and I have some nice, specific instructions from another meetbot admin. What would be a good exercise is to discuss the how-we-want-it-done as a group on infra@, then do it. :) - Karsten --=20 name: Karsten 'quaid' Wade, Sr. Community Gardener team: Red Hat Community Architecture & Leadership uri: http://communityleadershipteam.org http://TheOpenSourceWay.org gpg: AD0E0C41 --AkbCVLjbJ9qUtAXD Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.11 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFOsWPj2ZIOBq0ODEERAs6nAKC6KPs7zHCNFAYE4qs486hhwgbJvwCgqtGy D9beHiSd0GW5eJaUrPLnBIo= =XbkL -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --AkbCVLjbJ9qUtAXD--
