[PATCH 0/5] Discover Kimchi peers using openSLP
I haven't add the federation info to /config/capabilities because I thought in always display the same message when any peers were found. "No peers found. More information at: <federation-help-page>" Then we can use README-federation as the federation help page. What do you think? Kimchi allows users to change some configuration values by command line. Those values override the kimchi.conf values. That way we need to properly update kimchi.config.config to provide the accurate data for whole application. http_port information was used to display the guest console But since we have changed how to redirect user to guest console by adding the ui/pages/websockify/console.html it is not in use anymore. Because that I added a new README-federation file to guide the user on how setup the Kimchi server to enable federation. I don't think so. Federation is an optional feature. If user enable it, it should configure his/her system accordingly. Otherwise, we will open a port for nothing.

For features that are modular I'd suggest creating a package called kimchi-federation that depends on openslp. This package could install something into the kimchi directory that enables federation on the server at the same time. Then people can easily have a streamlined installation of kimchi or a more featureful one.

Good point. As I said before I don't think federation must be a mandatory feature as it is not related to virtualization. Because that I added a new README-federation file to guide the user on how setup the Kimchi server to enable federation.
I know the deb package has a "Suggested" packages section, we can add openslp there But rpm does not have a similar approach in this case.
For features that are modular I'd suggest creating a package called kimchi-federation that depends on openslp. This package could install something into the kimchi directory that enables federation on the server at the same time. Then people can easily have a streamlined installation of kimchi or a more featureful one.
