Volunteers needed

Hi all, More and more issues are being open related to Linux distributions issues: or because of different version of libvirt/qemu or even about different dependencies needed to run Kimchi. To try to avoid those issues or at least be aware about them as soon as possible, I would like to ask for Linux distribution focal points. The focal point will be responsible for testing Kimchi (and all its features) in a specific Linux distribution and report issues, provide patches and anything else needed to provide to Kimchi user a better experience. Would you like to join this group? ;-) Which Linux distribution do you want to be responsible for? Thanks, Aline Manera

I'ld do the job for openSUSE. Kimchi is already available as a package, with sources here: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/Virtualization/kimchi -- Cedric

Wow! I am really glad to know about it. Is there any plan to have Kimchi package in the openSUSE main repository?

I haven't tried to push in that direction for the while since quite a number of the dependencies aren't in the Factory main repo. However that may be easier if we can have the choice between apache or nginx as proxy: nginx isn't in the main repo. -- Cedric

We've already had comments related to nginx and how many dependencies it needs. The idea is to move to lighttpd as proxy.
