Great News! The more I test OKD virtualisation, the more I love oVirt! Why virtualization should be so complicated while oVirt is all what to be expected for this kind of workload? Le lundi 28 septembre 2026 à 08:44 +0200, Jean-Louis Dupond via Users a écrit :
Hi,
We are working on a few bits/bugs that need to be fixed, before we can push out the next release. This will be 4.5.8.
I hope we can push it out in October, just want all known issues smashed before release :)
The hosted engine will be the same like we have now already. That is: - CentOS 9 & 10 - AlmaLinux 9 & 10
No huge changes since 4.5.7, just quite some bugfixes etc.
After that, we will most likely get started with 4.6.0, which will include a major upgrade of the oVirt base. That is a new Wildfly, Javax to Jakarta migration etc.
Thanks Jean-Louis

Is there a target release (or at least beta) date for the next major oVirt release, presumably 4.6 ???
Will it support Rocky Linux 10 nodes?
What platform will the hosted-engine be built upon?
Just planning ahead for our future redeployment. Thanks for any insight you can give. _______________________________________________ Users mailing list -- users@ovirt.org To unsubscribe send an email to users-leave@ovirt.org Privacy Statement: https://www.ovirt.org/privacy-policy.html oVirt Code of Conduct: https://www.ovirt.org/community/about/community-guidelines/ List Archives: https://lists.ovirt.org/archives/list/users@ovirt.org/message/22ROFM3GTFHI4U...
