I can’t recommend oVirt for that particular purpose (new deployment), its future doesn’t look shiny since Red Hat dropped it. We are slowly moving our oVirt infrastructure to Open Nebula.

Ok, this is true and false. True, Red Hat has dropped it. False, the future isn't shiny. The community is actively taking over the management of oVirt and there has been 1 release since Red Hat stopped and others will follow. So I think the future will be quite shiny :-)
