It smells like a qemu bug. We recently seen a similar behavior while attaching host devices to the VM, but I assume this is not your case. Please share the versions of your kernel, qemu-kvm, libvirt, and vdsm. Include your virsh -r dumpxml <vm_name> Does this happen with more than one VM? On different hosts? Dan.
