Hi Support,
The following is the problem.
I am trying to upgrade a CentOS 7 oVirt host to CentOS 8 Stream with oVirt-engine backup.
https://www.ovirt.org/documentation/upgrade_guide/#SHE_Upgrading_from_4-3
I perform the reset as follows:
hosted-engine --deploy --restore-from-file=/path/to/backup
When ansible-playbook is almost finished it gives the following error:

It seems like the command ["hosted-engine",
"--reinitialize-lockspace", "--force"] failed to connect to the
broker. Can't tell if it's because the broker failed to start, or
failed to create the socket, or the client failed to access the
socket, etc.

I had the same.
Stop both ovirt-ha-broker & ovirt-ha-agent. Then stop them and use 'hosted-engine
--reinitialize-lockspace'.

It seems like the command ["hosted-engine",
"--reinitialize-lockspace", "--force"] failed to connect to the
broker. Can't tell if it's because the broker failed to start, or
failed to create the socket, or the client failed to access the
socket, etc.

When I upgraded my 4.3.10 to 4.4.9 (nothing fancy, just Hyperconverged with GlusterFS), I
had the same symptoms and I started both ovirt-ha-broker & ovirt-ha-agent, stopped
them and only then I was able to reinitialize.
No other combination worked ;)
