The preferred way to migrate VMs from one oVirt deployment to another is by using OVAs (export from the source and import to the destination, possibly using shared storage) Another way to achieve this is by detaching a storage domain that the VMs reside in from the source, attaching it to the destination and import the VMs from that storage domain.
