As RHGS is going end of life in 2024 it is being deprecated for RHV. The upstream Gluster project has no plan for going end of life as far as I know so there is no reason to remove the possibility of using gluster as storage backend in oVirt. There's no plan to completely remove support for Gluster as a storage backend.
