Location (for Cisco, IBM, Intel)

If it is at all possible, could Cisco, IBM, Intel see if we can get a tentative confirm for one of the facilities for the launch on the 1-3rd November before the Wednesday call. If we can settle this by/on Wednesday we can complete the materials and go public with invitations / briefings next week. Carl.

Carl: Still waiting on word internally on this, will see what I can do today to get a decision one way or another. Thanks, Kyle On Sep 12, 2011, at 11:50 AM, Carl Trieloff wrote:

As a backup option in case this doesn't work out I'm investigating the availability of an IBM facility in the Bay Area. Thanks, Mike Mike Day IBM Distinguished Engineer Chief Virtualization Architect, Open Systems Development Cell: +1 919 371-8786 | mdday@us.ibm.com http://code.ncultra.org

Hi folks, update from IBM: the Almaden research facility is NOT available those dates. The Silicon Valley Briefing center IS available, but not the briefing center itself - instead the standard office and conference rooms are available. BUT no wireless access for non-IBMers. So I would recommend the IBM SVN briefing center as the last option for Silicon Valley. Thanks, Mike Mike Day IBM Distinguished Engineer Chief Virtualization Architect, Open Systems Development Cell: +1 919 371-8786 | mdday@us.ibm.com http://code.ncultra.org

Hi, While you haven't heard from me since the call I have been busy here internally to align the SUSE penguins behind this ;-) So far I see no major roadblocks and will have a formal response with participation names for you very soon. The website is getting in great shape at a high level. My folks obviously went to get more technical info. Is there anything I can share already? The only (nitpicking but) politically important change request I would have is to not name the architecture picture "rhev.png" but rather "ovirt.png" or something like that ;-) I hope you understand that this is not the message we should convey for an "open" project and we would like to see as SUSE ;-) Great work everyone! I really like what I see so far. Ralf Am Mi 14 Sep 2011 22:58:58 CEST schrieb Carl Trieloff <cctrieloff@redhat.com>:

I meanwhile have also the approval from my boss, Nils Brauckmann. With that all important stakeholders have approved, the penguins are aligned and you have a "go" from SUSE. We are still sorting out travel plans and who will come to the kickoff workshop, but reserve at least 5 places for SUSE. I should have the names by the end of this week. Ralf
