as long as there are other alternatives like yahoo and fedora open id,
i don't see how this is a blocking anyone. 
like david said, google dropped the support (which by the way was communicated on the infra ml),
we'll investigate how and if we can add new google login, but i wouldn't say it will get the top most priority,
expecially given the high impact and risk to gerrit.
