Please, detail each point you want to discuss in a separated note so we
can have a conclusion on which way to go.
Also it would be great to add screenshots comparing the proposed widgets
for the new UI and the widget you think will have better usability.
That way everyone can see (without the need to open a file or browser an
URL) which is better and opine.

You don't need to have every piece done to starting sending them to
review on ML.
If you are doing if per widgets you can send one patch per widget, so we
can see you progress and also opine on how it looks like and also about
the code.
