Hi, I’m getting " Failed to download metadata for repo \'ovirt-master-advanced-virtualization-testing\’” when using ovirt-release-master.rpm since today. Any idea? Also, in CI the backup/restore test seem to be failing for few days now. Any idea anyone? It doesn’t fail in my local runs so could be just a dependency problem too… Thanks, michal

Also get backup/restore engine test failure - https://jenkins.ovirt.org/job/ovirt-system-tests_standard-check-patch/9188/a... On Tue, May 5, 2020 at 7:01 PM Michal Skrivanek <michal.skrivanek@redhat.com> wrote:

Thanks for the link. I didn't notice it myself yet. Anyone has an idea where the output of the 'assert' statement goes to? Can't find it. Anyway, I guess it's a good idea to try and log this by engine-backup itself as well, so: https://gerrit.ovirt.org/108841

Perhaps you can rebase on top of it for verification? Thanks.
I manually did this, on my laptop, for testing:
while true; do echo test; test; done >> f
and in parallel, ran tar on the directory.
This was the slowest version among the things I tried, that still always made tar fail with that error. Faster versions filled up the disk quickly, slower ones didn't trigger this, e.g., with this:
while true; do echo test; sleep 0; done >> f
tar didn't fail.

Thanks for the link. I didn't notice it myself yet.
Has this been solved?
Didn't try again,
I think it’s happening in CI fairly often, if not always. At least I can’t recall a successful gating run on OST itself recently, see e.g. https://jenkins.ovirt.org/job/ovirt-system-tests_standard-check-patch/9291/
Anyone has an idea where the output of the 'assert' statement goes to? Can't find it.
Anyway, I guess it's a good idea to try and log this by engine-backup itself as well, so:
only verified this one locally and not using the failed job, still pending review.
would be best to merge it and check the failures probably. Since OST itself is running fine elsewhere I suspect it’s something bogus, so let’s check later with proper logging in place
Thanks, michal

I guess it was a temporary glitch, can you still reproduce it? It indeed stopped in ~24h. I was just surprised to see that on our own repo, it’s usually copr or gluster repos, and those are mostly eliminated by using ost-images. Once the proper nightly queue is set up we can run OST entirely offline
Also, in CI the backup/restore test seem to be failing for few days now. Any idea anyone? It doesn’t fail in my local runs so could be just a dependency problem too…
Thanks, michal
