Weekly oVirt Sync Call - proposed agenda?

Hi folks, Hopefully most on this list received the invite for the weekly synchronization call that Carl sent out. (If not, let me know and I can forward it on to you.) I've put together a proposed agenda for the phone call below; with a 30m call each week, I think we can cover status on a lot of items, provided we make efficient use of the time. :) Since we're really still in start-up mode, I'd like to propose that we cover the big-ticket items and get ownership of things that need to be done in the next 1-2 months in each meeting, and leave longer-term tasks towards the bottom of the agenda (so people know that they're looking for owners, at least.) In my mind, those things are: * Status on initial project invites * Website launch * oVirt Workshop We can track minutes from each week in the shared document [1], and I'll volunteer to ship the minutes out to this list as well after each meeting. If you have other items you'd like to add to the agenda, or have other comments re: this mail, please speak up :) -Robyn [1] (URL REDACTED - INFO: http://lists.ovirt.org/mailman/project-planning/2011-September/000283.html) Proposed Agenda: oVirt Sync Call Wednesdays, 17:30 UTC (1:30pm US Eastern, 10:30am US Pacific) == Intercall Conference == Toll Free Dial-In Number (US & Canada): (800) 451-8679 International Dial-In Number: (212) 729-5016 Other Toll-Free Dial-In Numbers: Listed in meeting invite Conference code: 9197544554 If you are not actively participating in the conversation please put your line on mute to make it easier for all participants to hear. *6 -- Mute your line #6 -- Unmute your line == Invitees/Attendees == project-planning@ovirt.org Attendee names go here. == Project Schedule == * Confirm initial project invites by September 14 * Website Launch - September * oVirt Workshop - week of (October 24th or November 14th) * Community startup @ workshop * Press release post-workshop * Community Infrastructure Tasks - People - October - December (need list) * Governance * How to get involved * Community Infrastructure Tasks - Technology - Now - October/November (need list) * Source code release * ?? * First release - January/February. == Working Shared Document == (URL REDACTED - INFO: http://lists.ovirt.org/mailman/project-planning/2011-September/000283.html) == Agenda == 1) Board invites, status (Carl) 2) Website launch * Need owner * Content/scope? 3) oVirt Workshop / Summit * Needs owner * Needs dates, several under consideration. 4) Governance Docs (Carl) 5) Infrastructure * Other mailing lists * Source code release 6) Initial Code release 7) Your Agenda Item Here

What about changing the weekly call to a time we can attend? We can do this as a one off, but can't do a weekly call at this hour. Thanks, Itamar

Frank, does this work for from your time in China?
Yes, 9:30 am Eastern works better from here.. though it may be a little early for the left coast folks... Maybe 10:00 am or 10:30am would work better? 10:00am Eastern / 7:00am Pacific / 3:00pm England / 4:00pm Germany / 5:00pm Haifa,Tel Aviv / 10:00 pm Beijing or 10:30am Eastern / 7:30am Pacific / 3:30pm England / 4:30pm Germany / 5:30pm Haifa,Tel Aviv / 10:30 pm Beijing i'd have a slight preference for the 10:00 am Eastern time because of another call at 10:30, but we'll have folks with potential conflicts no matter when we try, so i'll figure something out about that.. doing the 1:30 pm Eastern, while maybe once or so I could make, but 1:30 am on regular basis would be tough! I do hope to get on something close to a semi-normal, if shortened sleeping schedule..!
Carl.
Cheers, Frank

Given all the feedback sounds like 10am et may be best bet. Sent from mobile phone/device On Aug 23, 2011, at 4:50 PM, Frank Novak <fnovak@us.ibm.com> wrote:

Does 10am work for all to move the sync call on Wednesday. So we can span all the teams working on the project. Particularly also for the west coast guys (Cisco, Intel, NetApp)? kind regards Carl.

I would need to move a meeting at this time on Wednesday, not impossible, but if it is equal does Tuesday at the 10AM EST also work for people? Carl.
