[JIRA] (OVIRT-2586) Jenkins terribly slow and unresponsive
by Evgheni Dereveanchin (oVirt JIRA)
Evgheni Dereveanchin commented on OVIRT-2586:
---------------------------------------------
We have a nice monitoring plugin in place which provides interesting info on threads, for example:
https://jenkins.ovirt.org/monitoring
For example, it showed me a GET request running for several hours for /api/python?pretty=true&depth=2
I tried to access it as well and it took several minutes to load a result that was showing lots of jobs, run details, artifacts and growing in size. After 5 minutes I cancelled the request in my browser but the thread continued on Jenkins.
From the logs it looks like someone was just exploring the API and started this, strange it's not killed when the client goes away.
Will keep monitoring to confirm what's causing the slowness

> Hi,
> jenkins is terribly slow and becoming worse every day.
> I tried to gain some speed by adding 4 cores to the VM through engine-phx.
> It's a bit better but the real issue doesn't seem related to CPU power.
> Can anybody investigate?
