New git repo
by David Caro Estevez
Hi!
We need a new repo to hold the gerrit hooks scripts. They are not too big, so we can create a 'tools' repo and put there all the scripts that we use for other things (backups, crons, nagios custom scripts...).
Thanks!

www.ovirt.org (oVirt wiki) doesn't have a monitoring to check if it's
up/down.
Currently when the site is slow/down, the users are the one to discover
it.
It's much better to have automatic monitoring to alert when there's a
slowdown in response or the site is completely down and notify the
responsible team.

It is all to common for people to post patches with a comment that
includes a broken or private Bug-Url: label.
gerrit should block such posts on entry. There should be a hook that
verifies that the URL is of a valid form, and that the referred bug is
public. Since accessing bugzilla may be a bit slow, we may need to do this
asynchronously, and give a -1 to such a post.
In my opinion, the only valid form should be
Bug-Url: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/926954
But others prefer to also allow
Bug-Url: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=926954
Bug-Id or buG-url should be rejected, too.

Rackspace hosts dns entries

Hi,
Rackspace hsots can be now accessed from jenkins.ovirt.org with the
names rackspace01.ovirt.org and rackspace02.ovirt.org.
The admins[1] already have access using ssh keys, and sudo without
password so you can reset your own password
I started installing puppet 3.2.1 on rackspace01 with no success (yet).
Also aany *.rackspace01.ovirt.org subdomain points to
rackspace01.ovirt.org (the same with rackspace02). So we can set up
unlimited vhosts if needed.

Gerrit down
by Dave Neary
Hi guys,
We really need to get a handle on this, having conversations like this
is kind of ridiculous. First, by making it clear who has access to the
various resources we depend on, second by setting up some kind of
"weekend & TZ watch" system so that if something happens on a Friday or
Saturday, or in the middle of our admins' night, that we know how to get
services running again, and finally, by having some kind of monitoring
solution up and running at last.
I know that some of these things are on our agenda:
https://fedorahosted.org/ovirt/ticket/48
https://fedorahosted.org/ovirt/ticket/20
But this really feels like it should be a top priority for us.
IRC extract, 10:20am CEST Friday May 31 2013:
<kanagaraj> gerrit.ovirt.org is down. anyone facing this issue?
<tdosek> kanagaraj: same here. it's down. :(
<fabiand> yep, it's down ...

<dneary> Ah

<fabiand> ewoud, do you maybe know?
<ewoud> dneary: not yet
<dcaro> dneary: let me see if I can access...
<mskrivanek> dcaro: use the force!
<ewoud> itamar: can you check gerrit?
<dcaro> dneary: it's in amazon :S
<dcaro> no, no access :,(
<dneary> The wiki page
http://www.ovirt.org/Infrastructure_team_administrators lists itamar and
Rydekull
<dcaro> none of them are around...
<lhornyak> gerrit is down?
<lhornyak> ping is ok though

* dcaro looks the other way
dcaro starts whistling
Cheers,
Dave.

Access to gerrit

Right now gerrit is down, but no one with access is around to take care
of it.
I suggest adding at least one more person to the gerrit maintainers that
will be there on friday. And of course I also offer myself as maintainer
(I'm taking care of the downstream gerrit too, so I have some knowledge
of it already).
