[Users] Custom settings for Kernel Same-page Merging (KSM)?

Hi,
recently I've noticed that ksmd is using quite a lot CPU on
my oVirt node. While I have plenty RAM, my CPU is way slow.
Thus ksmd is eating up the most limited ressource here.
Is it supported to use custom settings for ksmd? I've noticed
that it is handled by MoM: /etc/vdsm/mom.d/03-ksm.policy.
May I just change some settings here, or is there a tuning
parameter in oVirt engine? Couldn't find a matching one
with engine-config.
I'd like to use a higher value for sleep_millisecs to reduce
CPU usage (with the possible side effect of higher RAM usage).

[Users] Installing Windows VMs

In the QuickStart Guide, it implies that you should find a virtual
floppy image for virtio-win in the ISO_DOMAIN. Or at least I can find no
information on where to find/populate that image before the Guide shows
its use.
However, in my default 3.3 installation, there was nothing pre-populated
in my ISO_DOMAIN. Should there have been?

Can users outside of the hosts' networks reach the VMs in the hosts?
If you use netstat -rn it is expected that the gateway will be 0.0.0.0, as ifcfg-ovirtmgmt has DEFROUTE=yes and ifcfg-public has DEFROUTE=no, then ovirtmgmt's
'gateway' (0.0.0.0) will be determined as the host's default gateway. However with the new multiple gateways feature we configure source routing to make
sure that traffic that comes (from the outside) in the public network's device will return the way it came in.
You can use 'ip rule' to see the rules VDSM configures. It creates two rules and a routing table per device. You can use 'ip route show table %s' on each
table, where the IDs can be obtained by 'ip rule'.

So, interestingly or not, when I define a gateway on the public interface (through the web management interface or DHCP), and I don't worry about making the
DEFROUTE=yes setting in my "public" network, the box behaves like it has an incorrect default route. Now, my management network has a gateway
of 0.0.0.0, as it is a completely simple network, so that may be part of the problem. I'm not sure the impact of a 0.0.0.0 as a gateway.
I'm not sure how to poke at this further to figure out where the breakage is. Routing looks like it has gotten a little more complex, and I'm still operating with
'netstat -rn' and 'route add foo' type commands.

[Users] Bug: adding LocalStorage Data Centers

Hi,
affected version: oVirt 3.3 (ManagementNode)
how to reproduce:
setup 2 data centers with local storage, add data master storage
domains to these 2 data centers
add another data center with local storage, try to add another
master storage domain.
expected result: the data domain gets created just like the 2 before
actual result: ovirt management complains that the data domain
already exists, which is not true.
This behaviour was introduced with version 3.3, we didn't see this
in version 3.2
This is regardless of node versions.
I would at first like to know if anybody can reproduce this?
If this is the case I would create a bugzilla entry.

[Users] ovirt host on amazon

hello users, i think this software is great but there is something i am yet
to see. i am wondering if we can have our ovirt hosts on amazon , thereby
creating a hybrid set up.
can ovirt hosts/ custer be on amazon ?

[Users] oVirt 3.4 planning

To try and improve 3.4 planning over the wiki approach in 3.3, I've
placed the items i collected on users list last time into a google doc[1]
now, the main thing each item needs is a requirements owner, devel owner
and a testing owner (well, devel owner is really needed to make it
happen, but all are important).
then we need an oVirt BZ for each, and for some a feature page.
I also added columns indicating if the item will require an API design
review and a GUI design review.
this list is just the start of course for items from it to get
ownership. i expect more items will be added as well, as long as they
have owners, etc.
the doc is public read-only, please request read-write access to be able
to edit it.
feel free to ask questions, etc.

If it works with Nagios, it works with Icinga.
