Dear members!
We have an ovirt cluster that based on el6 and 3.5.6
It is contain three nodes, but the first node is an all-in-one installation.
I would like to upgrade the whole system to 4.0. Also I would like to switch to hosted engine modell.
Now, we bought new servers for the migration.
What is the good way to migrate nodes, etc?
Thanks in advance
Regards,Tibor

Kernel related errors with Fedora 24 Guest
by Alexis HAUSER
This doesn't looks really good, right ? Should I report that somewhere ?
I actually had this bug when using RHEL7 profile for a Fedora 24 (to provide enough vram, because the default with other profiles is really lower).

CARP Fails on Bond mode=1
by Matt .
Hi guys,
I have been testing bonding with a vm connected to the network on this
bond mode=1 (vlans on top of it) where the vm uses a carp IP for
failover.
It seems that when the VM which holds the Carp IP and so is Master you
can ping both IP's, so interface IP and Carp IP, but you cannot
throw/route any traffic over it.
You can route traffic over the interface IP of the Carp Slave.
Is this known or just not possible ?
I hope it's a "bug" :)
Thanks,
Matt

Ovirt Java SDK access to 'next run' configuration
by Sebastien Fuchs
Hi,
I'm developping (in JAVA) an automatic configuration manager to modify
memory and cpu allocation (cpushares for the moment) updated on a calendar
basis. It will also be used as a kind of enforcer/elastic scheduler on top
of the ovirt policy scheduler.
Because oVirt is not yet able to update memory and cpushares on live guests
like XenServer, my configurator needs to know the running config and the
next_run config as well, and force directly the config on live guests (with
virsh schedinfo --live arg ? ).
Unfortunately, the Host.getVMs().getById( "uuid" ) method returns only the
running config so there's no way I can check if the future config is setup.
Any suggestion?
Best regards
Sebastien

ovirt node upgrade
by Ariel Pérez Rodríguez
Hi guys!
I want to upgrade my oVirt nodes from oVirt Node - 3.6 -
0.999.201607061021.el7.centos to ovirt-node-ng-installer-ovirt-4.0-2016062412.
I want to use the ovirt-engine GUI for it. I already installed
oVirrt-engine version 4.0 and the ovirt-node-ng-image squashfs image
version 4.0.0. I don't wanna do virtual CD/DVD upgrade because is across
datacenter and I'm doing right now and is to slow. On the other hand I
haven't been able to use ovirt-node-upgrade tool cause I can't find any
example of the parameter --iso=, so I've no idea how to use it. Not even
one example in google. BTW, Thank you very much to Douglas Schilling
Landgraf for the previous answer. Thanks to him I could workaround my
issues..

Vrrp and Bond=?
by Matt .
Hi guys,
I'm investigating which bond mode is best for Vrrp.
Mode=1 is always OK, that stated.
When I try to set mode=6 or mode=5 (where I prefer mode=6) it limits
back in the bond file to mode=4 which is lacp and which I can't use in
this case.
Anyone some testing with this ? mode=2 gives flappy connections and will fail.
Thanks!
