Empty cgroup files on centos 7.3 host

Hi,
I wanted to monitor disk IO and R/W on all of our oVirt centos 7.3 hypervisor hosts, but it looks like that all those files are empty.
For example:

I thought, I can get my needed values from there, but all files are empty.

this should work.
Is this normal on centos 7.3 with oVirt installed? How can I get those values, without monitoring all VMs directly?

Dear Team,
I am using Ovirt 3.x on centos 3 node cluster and in that Ubuntu 14.04
64bit vm's are installed. But the end users, who are using this vm' s
are facing some issue daily and issues are mentioned below,
1. Keyboard will not respond in middle automatically and after checking
log file in vm, it show pmouse sync issue.
2. If Vm is restarted it is giving black screen, then Vm need to power
off and start again.
Please provide solution for above issues. Thanks in advance...

using oVirt with newer librbd1

Hi,
we want to use a Ceph cluster as the main storage for our oVirt 4.1.x
datacenter. We successfully tested using librbd1-12.2.1-0.el7 package
from Ceph repos instead of the standard librbd1-0.94.5-2.el7 from CentOS
7 in an oVirt virtualization node. Are there any caveats when doing so?
Will this work in oVirt 4.2?

I don't think I ever replied to this, but I can confirm that in RHEV 3.6
it works with NFS.

Ovirt 4.0 and EL 7.4

Hi,
Is 4.0 supported/known to work on CentOS 7.4?
I've just tried to upgrade one of the hosts in my lab from 7.3 to 7.4
and now vdsm-network fails to start with
vdsm-tool: libvirt: XML-RPC error : authentication failed: authentication failed
To even get this far I had to exclude gluster packages as 7.4
introduces 3.8 but ovirt 4.0 repo is still on 3.7.
So, more generally. If I'm on ovirt 4.0, gluster 3.7 and EL 7.3. What
is the best ordering for getting to ovirt 4.1 and EL 7.4?

Hi,
I have a question about ovirtmgmt network.
When deploying Hosted-Engine it creates ovirtmgmt bridge on top of main
nic of the host. This means the HE will be connected to the same network
as the main Host connection. Is it possible to separate those subnet,
let say I would have something like
Host:
IP: 10.0.a.b (VLAN a untagged) The host has an IP address on that interface
GW: 10.0.a.gw
Then i would have a tagged VLAN on top of that interface :
IF2 : 10.0.c.x (VLAN c tagged) The host has no IP address on that interface
GW: 10.0.c.gw
Would it be possible to have the HE connected on IF2, if Yes how do we
deploy such a setup?

oVirt Node 4.1.6 on IBM x3650 M3

Hello everybody,
I would like to install oVirt Node on a IBM Machine, but after the
installation it can not boot. I get the message:
"/boot/efi/..." file not found
I try many different things like turn of uefi options in bios etc. but with
no effect.
Now I figure out that when I install full CentOS 7.3 from live DVD it just
boot normal.
Is there any workaround to get this to work?

VM resource allocation and IO Threads

Hello,
can anyone give any pointer to deeper information about what in subject and
the value for "Num Of IO Threads" configuration, best practices and
to-be-expected improvements?
I read also here:
https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_virtualization/4.1/...
but in some points it seems not so clear to me:
eg:
If a virtual machine has more than one disk, you can enable or change the
number of IO threads to improve performance.
but also
Red Hat recommends using the default number of IO threads, which is 1.
There is also a note about deactivation and activation of disks: does it
mean that even if I poweroff the VM and change its config I have to make
this step after?
Anyone has run benchmarks?
Does it make sense if my VM has 3 disks to configure 6 IO threads for
example?
Do IO threads map to SCSI controllers inside the guest or what?
