How to connect to a guest with vGPU ?

Hi,
I got vGPU through mdev working but I am wondering how I would connect
to the client and make use of the GPU. So far I try to access the
console through SPICE and at some point in the boot process it switches
to GPU and I cannot see anything else.

Ubuntu 18.04 and 16.04 cloud images hang at boot up

I'm using oVirt 4.3 (latest ) and able to successfully provision Centos VMs without any problems.
When I attempt to provision Ubuntu VMs, they hang at startup.
The console shows :
...
...
[ 4.010016] Btrfs loaded
[ 101.268594] random: nonblocking pool is initialized
It stays like this indefinitely.
Again, I have no problems with Centos images, but need Ubuntu
Any tips greatly appreciated.

ovirt-guest-agent for CentOS 8

Hi,
Just like many of you I am testing my first CentOS 8 VMs on top of ovirt.
I am not finding the package ovirt-guest-agent.noarch . Closest I can
find is qemu-guest-agent.x86_64
After installing and starting it, I do see information reported on the
"Guest info" tab.
Can anybody confirm if this is indeed the agent we should be using? Is
there - or will there be - a more specific package for ovirt guests?

Ovirt API and CLI

Hi,
I'm trying to find out there a sort of API or ovirt CLI/SDK in order to be
able to interact with my ovirt VMS and associated resources.
In my architecture, I have an Ovirt virtualization host, with a self-hosted
engine VM to manage VMs.
From the host I have the virsh command to list VMs status, but this doesn't
really let me get into VMs management actions like : create, delete, get,
reboot, get VMs wide informations (IPs, name, disks.....)
So each time I have to login to the hosted engine web admin page to explore
VM, but I'd really like to play with my Ovirt resources from my command
line or programatically.
The ovirt API documentation I've found is really poor, I don't know if
someone here has already got the same need and had a good solution.

Windows deployment

I have a Windows Deployment server that works with Hyper-V. I am tryng to see if it will bare metal provision to Ovirt. I have the necessary drivers loaded and initially it gets an IP and starts the installation. When it comes to the screen starting setup, I get an IP error. I have included a screenshot.
Has anyone see this before?
I also considered provisioning from Foreman but I would rather use what I have instead of recreating the entire installation.
Any help would be appreciated.

subnets

I have a network in place with several subnets, one for iscsi and one for virtual pbx and VoIP phones. I use the iscsi in Ovirt, but I cannot get Ovirt to recognize and use the physical vlan 3 network for phones. If I add it and the subnet, Ovirt will make give it an IP, but it's an isolated network with no connectivity to the other vm's or the Internet.
I have read several topics on this but I can't get it to work properly.
Any help would be appreciated.

OVA import fails always

Hi,
I'm running 4.3.8.2-1.el7 (just updated engine to see if it helps) and I
haven't been able to import vms in OVA format, I've tried many
appliances downloaded from the web but couldn't get them to work.
Any hints?

1-Host home setup question

Hey folks,
for a home-vm setup (1 host): If I setup the Hardware with CentOS7,
configure Gluster et all by hand and get things up and running this way:
Would it be a viable option to install the ovirt engine directly on the
host as well? This would save some overhead. Or is running ovirt engine
directly inside an ovirt host, even using CentOS (not the node) not
recommended and will break things?
