Hi list,
I have upgraded my oVirt from 4.4.4 to 4.4.7 and notice that some VMs
have issues to report the performance information via the guest agent.
I see the following message on the VMs: The latest guest agent needs to
be installed and running on the guest
The qemu-guest agent is installed on VMs (the VM OS is CentOS 8).
Any advice how to troubleshoot this?
I can see the stats will be presented in the GUI, if I migrate the VM to
a different host.

I can login just fine to the VM over SSH but when I try to login over
the web interface as admin, the password is not accepted. I tried both
complex and simple passwords for root/admin but none worked so far.

VM Disk extend not reflected in VM oS

I extended a VM disk via oVirt Manager (4.4.8) without error, but when I checked the VM (fdisk & lsblk) the size has not changed.

Snapshot not working

hi everyone,
I have a glusterFS replica x3 node.
I can't create snapshot. when I create it, if I select to save the memory,
then in the disks section only appears the snapshot of the memory and in
locked state. If instead, I remove the option to make snapshot of the
memory, it does not make the snapshot saying "failed".
Any idea?

oVirt 4.5.2 /var growing rapidly due to ovirt_engine_history db

We have recently upgrade our oVirt environment to 4.5.2 version. Environment is based on hosted-engine. Since we have upgrade we noticed rapid incrase in /var partition in engine VM. It is increasing very rapidly. If we vacuum ovirt_engine_history db, /var size reduces but next day size will increase again upto 5-10%. We did db vacuuming couple of time but not sure we it is increasing so rapidly.
Here is the partial output of vacuuming that was done on 26-08-22. Table "host_interface_hourly_history" had more entries to be removed. Rest of the table had not much entries. Previously table "host_interface_samples_history" had entries to be removed.
Any Idea what can be the reason for that?

Hi All,
A couple of Qs:
During the `TASK [ovirt.ovirt.engine_setup : Install oVirt Engine package]` stage of the Management Engine deployment, is this trying to install the ovirt-engine-appliance, or something else?
When we do a pre-install of the ovirt-engine-appliance (ie dnf install ovirt-engine-appliance) where is this installed too, so that we can enter this information into the deployment script at the `Engine Appliance Image Path` stage?

Uncaught exception on Network Interfaces tab of a newly added host to oVirt 4.5.0

I added a few hosts to oVirt that runs engine version 4.5.0.8-1.el8. Most of the hosts work well except that Network Interfaces tab of a host shows the below error on the web browser:
Uncaught exception occurred. Please try reloading the page. Details: (TypeError) : Cannot read properties of null (reading 'e')
Please have your administrator check the UI logs
I tried the following steps but they do not help:
- clearing web browser cache
- using a different web browser
- deleting and re-adding the host back to oVirt
/var/log/ovirt-engine/ui.log logged below error when the network interface tab of the host was accessed:
