
thank you David, installing 8.4 doesn't make things easier, will give a try stream 8. just saw that stream 8 is eol 2024, but didn't find the roadmap on upgrades 8->9, if we get over 60vms on oVirt will be really hard to migrate in 3 years. If you plan on using CentOS going forward, I would recommend using (starting with) stream, as CentOS 8 will be completely EOL at the end of this year.
That said, you can easily convert a CentOS 8 server to CentOS Stream by running these commands:
dnf swap centos-linux-repos centos-stream-repos dnf distro-sync
