My proxy settings are the following:
[root@myhost ~]# env | grep proxy
https_proxy=http://10.248.2.50:3128/

ftp_proxy=http://10.248.2.50:3128/
[root@myhost ~]# cat /etc/yum.conf
[main]
gpgcheck=1
installonly_limit=3
clean_requirements_on_remove=True
best=True
skip_if_unavailable=False
proxy=http://10.248.2.50:3128
