I installed the F17 version of the hypervisor and was unable to join the new node to the cluster. The failure was "wrong CPU type for cluster". The system has an Intel Xeon x5660 CPU (Westmere family). There is another system of the same class in the same cluster NOT using the hypervisor (using a CentOS 6.3 install with dre-repo).
I reinstalled the failing system with CentOS and all is well now joining the system to the cluster.
