Change subject: engine: errors in audit log- VDS_SET_NONOPERATIONAL_IFACE_DOWN ...................................................................... engine: errors in audit log- VDS_SET_NONOPERATIONAL_IFACE_DOWN The format of the log was- "Host 'host-name' moved to Non-Operational state because interfaces 'iface-list are down but are needed by networks 'net-list' in the current cluster" There were some errors in it- 1. Displayed vlan device names (should display just base interface names). 2. Didn't display all the problamatics networks of a bond. 3. Didn't display problematic bonds if there is another problematic nic. This patch fixes these errors and also slightly changes the format of the error message. Since the bond status can be determined from the bond itself and shouldn't be calculated from the slaves status and most of the bugs were part of this logic, this patch removes it. Change subject: core: change decrease pending memory & cpu places ...................................................................... core: change decrease pending memory & cpu places We used to decrease the pending memory & CPU in 3 places: 1. RunVmCommandBase#onPoweringUp: we wanted to decrease the pending resources as soon as we know the VM is running, i.e when it reaches the POWERING_UP state 2. RunVmCommandBase#rerun: when the VM fails to run on a host, we decreased the pending resources on that host 3. MigrateVmCommand#reportCompleted: in 48af8ddc we added it, so the pending resources will be decreased when migration is done as well. This patch changes the locations where the pending memory & CPU is decreased such that locations #1 and #2 that mentioned above will remain, and instead of the third location we're now decreasing them in RunVmCommandBase#runningSucceeded & RunVmCommandBase#runningFailed. reportCompleted is not supposed to be overridden and is not the place where the reduction should be made. This method should only finish the monitoring job/step. The runningSucceeded & runningFailed are the more appropriate places for that. A positive side-effect of this change is that we're now decreasing the pending memory & CPU in other flows it should be decreased in, such as when resume paused VM which was paused for more than 1 minute. In addition MigrateVmCommand#runningSucceeded is removed. For the changes above, the calls to CommandBase#freeLock was moved to the relevant places in RunVmCommandBase, which are better places for them as they are relevant to all command that extend RunVmCommandBase. Note that the freeLock method handle the case where the lock is null, so it is ok in case the command release the lock at the end of the execute method as well. Thus, MigrateVmCommand overrides RunVmCommandBase#failedToRunVm method and do not do anything in that case. Instead of override the whole RunVmCommandBase#failedToRunVm method, it is better to override just the RunVmCommandBase#processVmPoolOnStopVm method so the rest of the things that failedToRunVm do would be executed. In addition, the code in RunVmCommandBase#reportCompleted was simplified a bit. That's why on almost every call to RunVmCommandBase#failedToRunVm method we log an audit message right before or after the call. One exception though is on the execution phase of RunVm - if the VM fails to run we do not need to log it, because it would be logged automatically by the infrastructure when the execution phase ends. This patch moves the call to log audit message to be within the failedToRunVm method. As for the case where the failedToRunVm method is called within the execution phase of RunVm, we'll also log it inside the failedToRunVm method, but set commandShouldBeLogged to false so the infrastructure will not log it again. This patch contains two additional minor refactoring changes. Implement default configuration values When adding new config values to the configuration files, it's possible that due to the installation the configuration files won't get updated, when they are modified by an user/administrator on that given system. By using defaults, we can override this problem and ensure a proper application start, when config values are missing which are mandatory, to the functionality.
