[Users] mouse pointer ubuntu.
by victor nunes
Hello
I am facing a problem using the ubuntu as virtual machine in oVirt.
I managed to install ubuntu without problem.
I could log on ubuntu without problem.
However, once the system logs on, the mouse pointer no longer appears and
disappears, leaving only a white one dot.
So I can not handle the ubuntu.
I am accessing the machines in VNC mode and with the UltraVNC 1.0.9.6.2.

indefinidamente longo, ao passo que, na velhice, ela parece um passado
deveras curto. Assim, a vida no seu início se apresenta do mesmo modo
que as coisas quando as olhamos através de um binóculo usado ao contrário;
mas, ao
seu final, ela se parece com as coisas tal qual são vistas quando o
binóculo
é usado de modo normal. Um homem precisa ter envelhecido e vivido
bastante para perceber como a vida é curta”.

[Users] Possible incompatibility with wdmd and Fedora kernel 3.6?
by jrd@redhat.com
I've been setting up a test system using F17 and the latest ovirt
rpms, per http://wiki.ovirt.org/wiki/Quick_Start_Guide
I discovered that vdsm was failing to launch vms, due to wdmd
croaking. A bit of digging revealed
wdmd[2026]: could not set RR|RESET_ON_FORK priority 99 err 1
Followed by wdmd exiting.
I rebooted the F17 vdsm host using the older 3.3.4 kernel, and it all
worked. (Well, not *all*, but that part worked :-)
Is this known/expected? Should I file a bug for it, or has somebody
already done so?
Thanks...

Hi guys,
Shew! Been a busy oVirt week for me :)
I'm trying to add a 3rd host into my datacentre but each time the
install is failing. In the front end I'm seeing "could not resolve

My engine is engine01.blabla.com
My current workings hosts are node01.blabla.com and node02.blabla.com
and I'm trying to add node03.blabla.com
I can ping node03 as well as the full FQDN node03.blabla.com from the
engine as well as the other hosts, there iptables is completely
disabled on node03 as well. Node03 has full internet access, it's DNS
is working and I can ping all the hosts and engine01.blabla.com etc so
I'm fairly certain it's no a networking/DNS issue.
A bit of background, I've recently upgraded from an early ovirt 3.1
release, changed the hostname, as well as recreate the SSL certificate
on my engine(using Juan's steps).
What I do find odd is in the engine log I'm seeing the mention of
node02(which is 10.0.2.22), even though I'm specifically trying to
install node03(10.0.2.23). I have tried removing the host and
re-adding it without any success.
On node03 I'm seeing the following error in my /var/log/messages...
Oct 19 13:31:32 node03 vdsm root ERROR client ('10.0.2.31',

Any helps or tips are greatly appreciated.
