Virt-sparsify is a new feature in oVirt 4.1. It allows to remove unused
space from a disk image and return it back to the storage.
We will learn why this feature is needed and how to use it from user
perspective. After that we will look deeper into implementation and explain
prerequisites of virt-sparsify operation.

ovirt-engine compiles successfully with JDK 9

I'm happy to discover that ovirt-engine is clean compiled on using jdk9. I
used the official JDK9 container to run it from the repo directory:
docker run -it --rm --name ovirt-engine-compile-jdk9 -v
"$PWD":/usr/src/mymaven -w /usr/src/mymaven docker.io/maven:3-jdk-9 ln -s
/etc/java-9-openjdk /usr/lib/jvm/java-9-openjdk-amd64/conf ; mvn clean

I wanted to let the Fedora devel/maintainer community know that a
public beta of Red Hat Bugzilla, based on upstream v5, is coming soon.
There will be an official announcement with the URL and more details
to accompany the beta when it's introduced.
There will be a minimum two-week testing period (subject to extension)
so the community can check scripts and other tooling for compatibility
and file bugs for any issues discovered. Some work has already gone
into python-bugzilla compatibility to make the transition easier.
Please stay tuned for more information soon.

vdsm service fails to start on HC setup

Hi all,
While verifying the test to deploy hyperconverged HE [1], I'm running into
an issue today where vdsm fails to start.
In the logs -
lago-basic-suite-hc-host0 vdsmd_init_common.sh: Error:
Feb 6 02:21:32 lago-basic-suite-hc-host0 vdsmd_init_common.sh: One of the
modules is not configured to work with VDSM.
Starting manually - vdsm-tool configure --force gives:
Units need configuration: {'lvm2-lvmetad.service': {'LoadState': 'masked',
'ActiveState': 'failed'}}
Is this a known issue?

Verify Grade (-1) for check_product and check_target_milestone hooks

Hi Tal,
I'm going to apply today the verify grade (-1) for the following hooks:
1. *check_product* - if the patch project is not the same as the bug
product will return a verify grade (-1).
2. *check_target_milestone* - if the patch branch major version is not
the same as the bug target milestone major version will return a verify
grade (-1).
