You can try using oracle jdk.
- Install oracle jdk by downloading the rpm from oracle. (I used version
1.8)
- Configure your browser to use the javaws provided by oraclejdk for
.jnlp files.
- The javaws binary can usually be found in a location like
/usr/java/jdk1.8.0_181-amd64/bin/javaws
- Note: Downloading and running the jnlp from cli doesn't seem to
work, it has to be passed to javaws by the browser.
- In Firefox: Preferences > Applications > jnlp (Sometimes this
doesn't appear until the first time you try to open a jnlp with firefox,
and you may have to manually navigate to the javaws binary path)
