problems with win 2008_64 vm

good morning guys
i have an issue with my 2008 vm going to pause within 5 secs of starting
it up. new install of ovirt 3.4.4 on hp dl160, installed the windows vm
and windows drivers etc and it was running fine. did a reboot last night
and went to bed, i see this morning the server is not accessible and
when i login to the web gui it is paused. stop vm and restart the server
starts firing up and then goes to pause mode with the following message
from the ovirt-engine log. i dont think it is a windows problem as the
vm pauses before it even starts trying to load windows server:

Deleting VM

Hello,
I'm having troubles removing a virtual machine from my ovirt enviroment.
If I want to remove it from within my browser (engine) it gives me an error.
I have added some screenshots form the engine and my engine.log.

VM autoconfiguration

Hello,
I followed instructions at
http://www.ovirt.org/Features/Cloud-Init_Integration
It works fine for Fedora, but it not works properly for Centos 6.5 and 7
(for example network settings changed, hostname only in one of them,
system start waiting for password in 6.5 etc.) - which are most common
distros for us.
It seems to be problematically (by design ?) at future.
So - is another alternative of cloud-init (maybe with more coding and
configuring) for automatically assign IP settings, hostname and root
password?

x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
the vm does not get as far as loading windows before pausing, so i
cannot deactivate windows settings as it doesnt load that far any longer.

overt viewer on mac osx

Hi,
I got pretty excited when I found out there was a girt-viewer for mac=85 i=
f this would work, it means I could manange my ovirt stack from my mac with=
out having to login to my windows VDI.
I have downloaded and installed per the instructions - and then downloaded =
the console.vv file and run the command line to start the viewer with the c=
onsole.vv - the first time it popped up and then said that spice needed aut=
hentication=85 tried my virt-engine password that didn=92t work, hit cancel=
and it shut down. Tried it again and now it just says it can=92t determin=
e the connection type from uri and I have to quit.
I am running OSX 10.9.4 and apparently this has only been tested on 10.9.1=
=85 hoping there is a fix to make this work, or am I doing something wrong?=
The command I am using is
/Applications/RemoteViewer.app/Contents/MacOS/RemoteViewer Downloads/consol=
e.vv
and the console.vv is indeed in the Downloads dir off my home dir.

this is still a problem in latest master, maybe vdsm people (Dan?)
should take a look at it.

Latest seabios in F19

Just a FYI
I just upgraded my setup @home to 3.4.4 and part of the upgrade is a
seabios-bin upgrade to seabios-bin-1.7.3.1-1.fc19.noarch which seems to
contain a problem since I can't start any Windows7 VMs anymore.
Downgrading to seabios-bin-1.7.2.2-3.fc19.noarch solves the Win7 boot
problem

qemu-kvm-rhev on EL machines for oVirt 3.4.z ?

Hi guys,
We've recently started shipping qemu-kvm-rhev in oVirt 3.5's repos and requiring it by VDSM in order to allow oVirt users on EL server to enjoy the live snapshot capability which isn't available by the default qemu-kvm available for these machines [1].
On a different BZ, Sven raised the request to backport this to the 3.4.z stream as well [2].
In the discussion on the patch [3], Dan raised the concern that 3.4.z is a mature z-stream, and adding this dependency on resources.ovirt.org's repos will effectively blocks all vdsm updates for users which don't have these repos enabled in their production environments.
We'd like to get some more input from the community before deciding whether to move forward with this or abandon the idea.
