SPICE Through a Router? Squid?

I have a dual host setup working right now. Host 1 runs the engine and is also a node. Host 2 does DB storage and NFS storage. The WebSockets proxy is running on Host1. My question is how do I run this behind a router? I am correct in understanding that the WebSockets proxy acts as the spice access point for all of the nodes in the cluster / datacetner? or does each node host need a direct connection for spice? the .vv file I receive from the management console specifies the engine's private IP address which works fine when inside the ovirt management LAN, but it wont route from WAN obviously. So essentially i guess i need squid to rewrite the served vv file to the public IP and somehow make the ports work correctly, which is difficult considering every time a VM is created it also adds its own spice port, correct?

connecting my oVirt engine to a 100mb switch

Hi all, I’m having problems connecting my oVirt engine to a 100mb switch. I’m not having any problems connecting to 1gb. But, I need to also have a connection to a 100mb network. I’ve tried configuring ethtool_opts on the interface. However, this only results in the NIC not coming up and showing: Speed: Unknown! and Duplex: Unknown! (255), when I run ethtool ethX Is it possible to connect the engine to a 100mb switch? Thanks PS. I also posted this question over on the oVirt G+ page. I apologize if that's incorrect but I have G+ open all day...

VSDM on Engine

Hi Guys, I wonder if some people have installed VDSM on the engine after the engine was installed. As this is supported on the All-In-One solution I wonder if it's also supported now on a manual install. Cheers, Matt

Cannot start VM after reboot an host

Hi list, I cannot start any VM after reboot my hosts on oVirt 3.5.2 and 3.5.2 nodes. Upgrade path

Hi all, What would be the best upgrade path for upgrading a 3.5.2 cluster from C6 to C7? Am I right in understanding that a cluster can have mixed hosts, but once a VM is on a C7 host, it cannot be migrated back to C6? -- Met vriendelijke groeten / With kind regards, Johan Kooijman

engine-reports portal and cpu cores

Hello, why we have in reports host cores but not logical cpu cores? For example in "Cluster Capacity Vs. Usage" report I always have more vCores then Host Cores. Thank you.
