Hi everyone,
I'm trying to save the Network Interfaces configuration in a freshly instal=
led hypervisor in version 4.0.1, and I'm getting this error:
Error while executing action:
blade1c1.ism.ld:
* Cannot setup Networks. Role (migration/display/gluster) network 'migr=
ation' hasn't boot protocol assigned.
The configuration is exactly the same as in the rest of the nodes (3.6 late=
st one). I've been googling it but nothing.
Thank u in advance,
Ariel

Hosted Engine oVirt 3.6 iscsi multipath
by Julian De Marchi
heya--
i have an ovirt 3.6 installation. all my iscsi LUNs are mulipath,
however the hostedengine storage is not.
i tried to import the hostedengine storage domain into my cluster but
got a warning it is controlled via another oVirt cluster. i accepted the
warning and imported anyway, but it crashed my hosted engine and
hosted-engine broker restarted as expected.
i am curious of how to configure multipath for the hosted engine storage
domain ?
many thanks!

Migration Failure Due to network
by Alexis HAUSER
Here are the two Events I can see :
Host Hypervisor has network interface which exceeded the defined threshold [95%] (em1: transmit rate[98%], receive rate [4%])
Migration failed (VM: Clone-ubuntu, Source: Hypervisor, Destination: hypervisor22).
Any ideas ?
It it not the first time I have this kind of network saturation issue...
My current temporary setup is this : 2 hosts with only one network physical interface used and assigned to ovirtmgmt, used by all VM.
Do migration of a running VM from one host to the other use the network assigned to that VM for migration ? Or does it use ovirtmgmt in all cases ?
What minimum network architecture setup would you advice me to avoid this kind of issues ?

Re: [ovirt-users] Cannot install new host on 4.0, Certificate enrollment failed
by Matt .
It's the fqdn indeed, not it's hostname.
Fqdn should be possible I thought as discussed before in the channel
(while ago).

Set disk profile
by Johan Kooijman
Hi all,
I'm trying to set a different profile on a disk. I open the dialog, click
new profile and click OK. Seems simple enough. Log says:
VMvmname vmname_Disk1 disk was updated by admin@internal.
When I reopen the same dialog, the profile is set to the previous one.
Running the latest ovirt 3.6. Any idea?

Here is one of the examples:
[environment:default]
# Profile IPA
OVAAALDAP_LDAP/profile=str:ipa
# don't use DNS
OVAAALDAP_LDAP/useDNS=bool:False
# Profile name is ipa
OVAAALDAP_LDAP/aaaProfileName=str:ipa
# using round-robin server set
OVAAALDAP_LDAP/serverset=str:round-robin
# plain connection
OVAAALDAP_LDAP/protocol=str:plain
# IPA hosts
OVAAALDAP_LDAP/hosts=str:ipa1.example.com ipa2.example.com
# search user
OVAAALDAP_LDAP/user=str:uid=user1,cn=users,cn=accounts,,dc=example,dc=com
# search user password
OVAAALDAP_LDAP/password=str:password
OVAAALDAP_LDAP/toolEnable=bool:False
# don't use tester tool
OVAAALDAP_LDAP/configOverwrite=bool:True
Unfortunatelly the only way you can find to find out these constants is
to check source of 'ovirt-engine-extension-aaa-ldap-setup'.
