Hi! How can I adjust migration timeout? I see this error in my vdsm.log when I try to migrate one of my VM's: The migration took 130 seconds which is exceeding the configured maximum time for migrations of 128 seconds. The migration will be aborted.

Hi, please consider this bugreport: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1111520 it is about the default fencing behaviour of ovirt in the special case of a single node cluster when a logical network marked as "required" is not available on the single host in the cluster. the default behaviour is, to shutdown all vms. I have for example zabbix agents installed on all hosts and=20 thus iptables rule allowing connections from our zabbix server. VMware machines disk locked

Hello, We are having problems with a VMware machine. In the engine I can see the status of its disks are locked. I don't know exactly what my co worker did but it's up to me to find out and fix it. So what log's should I check and what entry should I look for. Can I find out why the disks are locked via the cli ? Can I look in the database and change the status ? Kind regards.

Working but unstable storage domains

Late last week, a VM that in the scope of our clusters consumes a lot of resources failed in migration. Since then the storage domains have from the engine's point of view been going up and down (though the underlying NFS exports are fine). Key symptoms from the oVirt Manager: * two of the storage domains are always marked as having type of "Data (Master)" when historically only one was; * the Manager reports "Storage Pool Manager runs on $host" then "Sync Error on Master Domain..." then "Reconstruct Master Domain ...completed" then "Data Center is being initialized" over and over and over again. The Sync Error messages indicate "$pool is marked as Mater in oVirt Engine database but not on the Storage side. Please consult with Support on how to fix this issue." Note that $pool changes between the various domains that get marked as Data (Master). Clues, anyone? This happend after the update to 3.4.2 when I start the engine. I can't login anymore... This is the error. Any Idea's? I didn't have this problem with oVirt 3.4.1.=20 Has anyone else experienced the same problem? Any suggestions? glusterfs resume vm paused state

Hi, Has anyone had any luck with resuming a VM from a paused state on top of NFS share? Even when the VMs are marked as HA, if the gluster storage goes down for a few seconds the VMs go to a paused state and can never be resumed. They require a hard reset. I recall when using NFS to not have this issue. Thanks, Andrew

Hey guys, I need a system to test oVirt and Opaque on, but I want it to be super-low power and near-silent. Therefore I am thinking of grabbing one of the new 25W AMD Kabini CPUs. VM deletion issue

I am running ovirt 3.3.2 and gluster 3.4 and recently had a pretty catastrophic failure of my small 3 node cluster. Long story short I lost the disk to a VM and decided to delete (start over with) now magically re-appears as "external-vmname". When I attempt to delete it again, it deletes, but then shows up some time later. If I try to run the vm I get the following popup error in the ovirt admin ui: ------------------------------------------------ Error while executing action: external-vmname: Cannot run VM. This VM is not managed by the engine. ------------------------------------------------ Has anyone seen this before? Any pointers on where to look for more information? -- Patrick Pierson

Problems after changing Compatibillity Version

Hi, after upgrading oVirt engine and nodes to 3.4.2, I changed the compatibillity version of my Cluster to 3.4. Everything was working fine. Then I change the compatibillity version of the Data Center to 3.4. the guests are running but the nodes goes to status "None Operational". In the Events I get the following message: Host ovirt01 does not comply with the cluster FUH emulated machines. The Hosts emulated machines are rhel6.4.0,pc,rhel6.3.0,rhel6.2.0,rhel6.1.0,rhel6.0.0,rhel5.5.0,rhel5.4.4,rhel5.4.0 and the cluster is rhel6.4.0} Attached are the logfiles vdsm.log, supervdsm.log, messages from one node.
