I've just been doing some searching to try and work out how to get a vmware=

Slow resync with GlusterFS Replication
by ml ml
Hello List,
i have a 2 Node Cluster with GlusterFS. After putting one machine in
Maintance and turning it off and on again the glustefs starts its
resync.
However, this process seems to be very slow.
iotop and iftop only show me a few hundred K/s.
Is this normal?
Thanks,

OVF_STORE?
by Daniel Helgenberger
Hello,
out of curiosity: After my DC was upgraded to 3.5 I have two disk images
called OVF_STORE on every data domain. What is their purpose?
Thanks

IPv6 configuration through custom network properties and vdsm-hook-ipv6
by Ondřej Svoboda
Hi all,
let us invite you to try out the latest addition to VDSM hooks: simple IPv6 configuration with oVirt's custom network properties :-)
In oVirt GUI you can now control 4 properties understood by VDSM's new IPv6 hook:
ipv6addr, ipv6gateway (IPv6 addresses)
ipv6autoconf, dhcpv6 (booleans; use '1' or 'true' to enable them)
You will need oVirt 3.5 and VDSM >= 4.16.7 and vdsm-hook-ipv6.
Define the new properties in oVirt engine as follows (do not omit ;ethtool_opts=.* if you are using it):
PROPERTIES='ipv6addr=.*;ipv6gateway=.*;ipv6autoconf=.*;dhcpv6=.*'
engine-config -s "UserDefinedNetworkCustomProperties=$PROPERTIES" --cver='3.5'
You can install the hook from oVirt's nightly build (also for el7, fc20...):
http://resources.ovirt.org/pub/ovirt-master-snapshot/rpm/el6/noarch/
After you restart the ovirt-engine service you are welcome to test configuring the new custom properties in "Edit Network" dialog.
Please note that there is little functionality available (e.g. no migration) apart from the basic configuration but we are working to make IPv6 in oVirt a reality.
Recently, we tested manual IPv6 fencing, which was one of our goals on http://www.ovirt.org/Features/IPv6_support. We will update the feature page next week.
We are interested in your feedback. Stay tuned!
Cheers,
Ondra Svoboda
PS:
If you are building VDSM from Git, your packages (namely the vdsm package required by the hook) are versioned as 4.16.0-nnn-gitid, which does not satisfy the 4.16.7 requirement.
Please run 'git tag v4.16.7-fake' in your Git repository so the next time you 'make rpm' you get compatible packages.

CPU type is not supported
by Fawzy Ibrhim
Dear All;
I have DELL PowerEdge 6850 with two Intel(R) Xeon(TM) CPU 2.66GHz.
The CPU has the below flags which does not include AES flag:-
flags: fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr pge mca cmov pat pse36 clflush dts acpi mmx fxsr sse sse2 ss ht tm pbe syscall nx lm constant_tsc pebs bts pni dtes64 monitor ds_cpl vmx est cid cx16 xtpr lahf_lm tpr_shadow
I have installed Centos 6.5 64bit on it and I need to add it to the cluster Intel Nehalem Family.
oVirt Engine Version is 3.4.3-1.el6.
Cluster Compatibility Version is: 3.4
CPU type is: Intel Nehalm Family
The installation started normally and stopped with error:-
"Host iScsi moved to Non-Operational state as host CPU type is not supported in this cluster compatibility version or is not supported at all"

Integration of ovirt-engine GUI with the CLI
by Nikita Kodkani
Hi,
I have the CLI designed for the RHEV-M. I have also designed some GUI in
ovirt-engine.
Now I am stuckup with the integration. Could you suggest how to connect the
ovirt-engine GUI with the backend CLI commands?
Thanks,

DWH and reports
by Koen Vanoppen
Hi All,
We recently updated our ovirt installation from 3.4.3 to 3.5 and this went
very smooth, so thanks for that!
But now I wanted to try to install the DWH and reports on 2 different vm's.
The installation went well, no errors there, but when I try to open the
reports portal afterwards, I get a 404 and this is in the server.log on the
engine host:
Any ideas what it could be?
