HE (3.6) on gluster storage, chicken and egg status

I've managed to get hosted-engine running but could use some direction
for what comes next.
Summary:
4 Hosts, CentOS 7.2, oVirt 3.6 (from ovirt.org repo)
All hosts are in default/default datacenter/cluster
All 4 hosts are running glusterd
HE is installed on glusterfs volume, replica 3, on hosts 1,2, and 3. (
started with replica 4, but removed 4th brick to satisfy HE --deploy)
Status:
All hosts are active
Datacenter is not initialized
Issues:
Attach hosted_storage to Default datacenter fails
New volume dialog doesn't allow me to select a datacenter (list is empty)
Questions:
1. Why doesn't replica 4 work as a glusterfs volume, is this just
because of the installer or is there a more fundamental reason?
2. I assume the reason I can't create new volumes is because I don't
have a data storage domain configured yet. I want all of my data
storage to be glusterfs. How do I escape this chicken/egg puzzle?
3. What question should I be asking that I am not?

3.6.1 hosted engine won't start after reboot

Hi list,
Fresh install of 3.6.1 on CentOS 7.2 (physical host and engine vm). After a
reboot, the engine vm will not come up. To be precise, the engine starts
up, works for a few seconds, then reboots (see attached logs). Searching on
the Internet seems that my problem is
“After installation of the hosted-engine using the iso and commands you
specified and rebooting the engine and registering the host in the engine,
the engines network configuration is set to "managed by NetworkManager" but
no NetworkManager is installed on the system. So the reboot will result in
the loss of network connectivity and ha-agent trying to restart the
hosted-engine in a loop.”
Does anybody know if I can fix this on
/var/run/ovirt-hosted-engine-ha/vm.conf or somewhere else?
/var/log/ovirt-hosted-engine-ha/agent.log and
/var/log/ovirt-hosted-engine-ha/broker.log haven’t been much help, even
when set to debug mode.
hosted-engine —vm-status says “Engine status : {"reason": "failed liveness
check", "health": "bad", "vm": "up", "detail": "up”}” Score is 3400.
This is what I see in the logs:

I can access the storage domain with vdsclient but the state is not online
or okay:

Hi everyone,
I have an issue with my ovirt deployment with hosted engine.
After an upgrade of the hosted engine I am not able to start it anymore.
I see this in my vdsm.log

Gluster is working properly, I am able to connect and write via nfs.

following error.

Gluster Data domain not correctly setup at boot

I have one testing host (only one) with hosted engine and a gluster data
domain (in the same machine).
When I start the host and the engine I can see data domain active "up
and green" but in the event list I get:
- Invalid status on Data Center Default. Setting status to Non Responsive
- Storage Domain Data (Data Center Default) was deactivated by system
because it's not visible by any of the hosts
If I try tu start a VM I get:
- Failed to run onDalesSRV on Host ovirt01
- VM onSalesSRV is down with error. Exit message: Cannot access storage file

Hi Budur,
Try running the command "kvm-ok" I'm not sure what package it's
from, but it will tell you if your system supports the CPU
virtualization commands required to run KVM. If kvm-ok isn't installed,
you can try running "egrep '(vmx|svm)' /proc/cpuinfo" vmx means you have
Intel virtualization support, while svm is the AMD implementation. IE,
on my Intel i5 I get a bunch of lines like this: (**'s added for emphasis)

Should I first upgrade Fedora 20 -> Fedora 21 -> Fedora 22
and then upgrade oVirt from 3.5 to 3.6?
Or would be better to upgrade in the Fedora 20: oVirt 3.5 -> oVirt 3.6
and then make the OS upgrades FD20->FD21->FD22
