New Node

HI I have added new HP blade as a ovirt node to the engine while deploying a new instance in the newly added node vm is getting stuck ,serveral times I have rebooted the node but no luck. Below are the engine and node version. Engine version :oVirt Engine Version: 3.5.5-1.el6 Node version:oVirt Node - 3.5 - 0.999.201509102313.el7.centos When i deploy the same vm in the other nodes am not facing any issues. HP Blade chassis is a newer version model is HP7000 series. can someone help on this ? Thanks, Nagaraju

After updates - hosts become unresponsive once in a while

Hi all, Yesterday I updated a couple of my hosts to the latest CentOS packages as well as the latest ovirt packages, in the 3.5 series. All looks fine, but once every couple of hours a host becomes completely unresponsive, doesn't even ping. Engine takes care of this - fencing is done. Nothing to be found in the logs of the host itself, engine simply tells me host became unresponsive. Nothing else in the infra has changed. The other hosts, still at CentOS 7.1.1503, are fine, only the updated hosts at 7.2.1511 have this issue. I suspect a network driver issue somewhere, has anyone had the same experience so far? I'm using Intel X540-AT2 10 gbit cards in all my nodes, setup with LACP bonding. -- Met vriendelijke groeten / With kind regards, Johan Kooijman

HP ProLiant ML10 v2 or ML110 Gen9 with Windows Server Essentials 2012 R2 guest

Hi, I planned for a new customer to use oVirt instead of competitor virtualization. Here are the environment: Server choices: 1. HP ProLiant ML10 v2: 1x Dual Core 3,1GHz with 12GB RAM 2. HP ProLiant ML110 Gen9: 1x Xeon 1,6GHz with 12GB RAM Harddisk: - Raid1 on two SATA 2TB drives Guests: - 1x Windows Server Essentials 2012 R2 - 2x CentOS 7 Clients: - 6 Windows Clients Will the ML10 v2 server serve the needed performance? Because its a way cheaper than the ML110. And will Windows Server 2012 run in oVirt, because on my test machine (HP ProLiant ML350 G5) it didn't (maybe the CPU is to old). regards gregor

Startup VM after host reboot

Hi, I use oVirt all-in-one 3.6, is there a setting to automatically start selected VM's when the host has rebooted? This can happen on power failure when the UPS is running to low. regards gregor

Windows Server 2012R3 guest: BSOD

Hello, oVirt: 3.6.1 qemu: 2.3.0 I installed a Windows Server 2012R2 guest. The install is good, but when the guest boots into Windows, the Server 2012 version of the BSOD comes up,then goes to a "DOS" screen that has an error code '0xc0000001' I have tried using a VirtIO HDD and IDE; both result in the same error. Any ideas what the issue might be? CPU is Sandybridge, if that makes a difference. Regards, Alan
