Yum repositories for 4.5.7 hosted engine VM

Hello, What yum repositories should be enabled on a 4.5.7 self-hosted engine VM running AlmaLinux 9.8? We successfully updated our cluster (hosted engine VM And all hosts), but are getting the following conflicts when trying to update the VM itself. Migrating from 4.5.6 to 4.5.7

Hello, We are trying to migrate from 4.5.6 to 4.5.7 following the guide linked to at [1] below. All of our hosts are running AlmaLinux 9. However, when running "hosted-engine --deploy --restore-from-file…” it keeps installing ovirt-engine-appliance-4.5-20231201120201.1.el9.x86_64 and creating a “4.5.5 centos stream 8" VM instead of using ovirt-engine-appliance-almalinux9-4.5.7-1.el9.x86_64 and creating a “4.5.7 stream 9” VM. Hello oVIRT Community, I am trying to install oVirt as a self-hosted engine using the command line (https://ovirt.org/documentation/installing_ovirt_as_a_self-hosted_engine_us…) on CentOS 10 but it fails in so many different ways that I better ask you for clarification. I have found that the documentation is for CentOS 9, so some commands like "dnf module reset virt" fail on CentOS 10. Am I missing some pre reqs? Hello oVirt maintainers, My name is Jeong Haneul, and I'm an infrastructure engineer from South Korea. First, I'd like to thank everyone who has contributed to oVirt over the years. I still provides virtualization solutions based on oVirt Engine, and we've relied on the project for a long time. As upstream development has slowed, I started a personal modernization project to address some of the platform's technical debt. So far, I've completed the following work: - Replaced the legacy GWT WebAdmin with a React-based frontend. - Completely removed the GWT frontend and the GWT-RPC communication layer. - Migrated client-server communication to REST APIs. - Upgraded the platform to Jakarta EE 11, WildFly 40, Java 21, and PostgreSQL 16. - Applied numerous security and dependency updates. The project is still being validated, but most of the functionality is already working. I would like to know whether there is still active interest in modernizing oVirt Engine. If so, I'd be happy to discuss the project, share my experience, and explore whether any part of this work could be useful for the community. oVirt CLI tool for automation tasks

We recently migrated from VMware to oVirt. I am looking for any CLI tool well suited for my automation tasks like VM create, clone, migrate 100s of Virtual machines in oVirt cluster. with VMware I was using govc (vSphere CLI built on top of govmomi). Another option I read is powercli, quite unsure if it works with oVirt. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

Next major release of oVirt

Is there an ETA for the next major release of oVirt? Has it entered beta testing yet? Any hint as to what OS and version will be used for the hosted-engine? Will there be Node ISOs released? Just wondering so I can plan ahead. We are planning on deploying a brand new infrastructure and then phase out our legacy infrastructure.
