How to move VM between datacenter?

Hi ALL. I run two data centers: DC1 with storage type as shared, DC2 with storage type as local. I want to move a VM in DC1 to DC2 and vice versa. No Live migration needs. I attached NFS storage to DC2, but It does not shown on DC1. Can I add the same NFS storage to DC1 with different name and same export path? Sincerey yours. Minseok Jang.

How to create image repo like default one? I want to serve custom images to users.

Hi, All. I want to proviode image repo like default one (ovirt-image-repository) to serve custom image to users. My quesions are: 1) How can I create a repo with image type? It looks like openstack glance service, but I have no experience to install it as a standalone. 2) How can I add new storage domain with image type? There are no image type on Storage > Storage Domain > New Domain in oVirt 4.5. I've got lots of help from this mailing list. Thank you. Minseok Jang

nested virtualization and promiscuous mode

I want to run a VM, which will itself be the KVM host of a number of KVM guests. Each of the guests running in that nested environment will have a vNIC with an IP address on the same subnet as the top-level hypervisor (the ovirt node). In VMware vSphere environments I was able to do this by enabling promiscuous mode and forged transmits on the VMware distributed switch port group, as described in this medium article; https://williamlam.com/2013/11/why-is-promiscuous-mode-forged.html I've search a number of old threads here on the ovirt list archives. Many refer to vdsm hooks that don't appear to exist any longer in ovirt 4.5.1. How can I accomplish the same thing in ovirt?

I tried to connect my Ovirt (Oracle Linux) to iSCSI but i end up with errors, i created and added new Drive of 100GB in my local drive, how do i connect it and how can i load iso files?

uploading iso file to the disk was paused by the system

Hi, As you can see on the pictures I attached, uploading iso file to the disk but it was paused by the system and I can't delete them either from the disk. This is most frustrating. Please help me fix this issue if you can Furthermore, the issue i am having at the moment, i cant delete, edit disk. all the time i added another iso file to disk i got ERROR "paused by the system". And when i tried deleting the iso file, i still got another ERROR. "Finalizing Cleaning up" (For more than a week the status never changes) Please how can i fix it. I will be most grateful, if you can share with me any instance messenger (Skype, discord or telegram) for fast communications. I need you advise on this issue. Appreciated.

The .ovf files don’t exist on the Primary site for the VMs in question so they are not being replicated. Question is why aren’t there .ovf files on any of the hosts for those Vms? Regards Simon…

gluster heal success but a directory doesn't heal

Cannot Log Into Newly Deployed Hosted Engine

I have a fresh installation of a 4.5.1 hosted engine and the admin password I set during the process isn't working. I reset the password for the admin user from a root shell on the HE using the ovirt-aaa-jdbc-tool utility and still no dice. I found a log file for "keycloak" that I tailed while logging in and discovered that keycloak was denying me. I am not familiar with keycloak at all. It appears as though I enabled keycloak during the deployment. Just a few quick answers may get me back to where I need to be: 1. How do I log into the web management portal ? Previously it was admin@internal and then the password 2. If keycloak is looking for some kind of directory server outside of the engine I don't have one, if the engine is the keycloak server what are my credentials for the HE portal ? 3. Can I re-run engine-setup and turn Keycloak off so that I have internal based authentication ?
