Move process takes the first interface from list ( VM assigned ), but any interface for moving virtuals ( explicitly defined ). eg. VM moving from A to B - it takes interface defined for moving ( "movingLAN" ) but moving only simple disk of VM from A to B - it takes "default" interface from list of assigned LANs any idea ?? regs. Ovirt fails to import Windows 8 & 2012 VM's using virt-v2v-1.28.1-1.28

I am unable to import VM's migrated with virt-v2v-1.28.1-1.28.el7.x86_64 / libguestfs-1.28.1-1.28.el7.x86_64. There is a virt-v2v bug on this, but it is identified as a oVirt issue - https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1213701 Is there a scheduled release/fix for this issue? Thank you, Tim Macy

Directly connect NIC or other cards to VM?

Is there a way to directly connect a specific device (ie, NIC) to a particular VM? I've figured out how to map a specific network interface to a VM, thats one step, but in the end I may need direct access to the PCI device itself. Second to that, for network interfaces mapped to a particular VM, is there a way for the VM to be able to properly detect physical link state of that interface? Right now that's a 'configurable option' inside network interface settings on the VM in the manager (ie, plugged, not plugged, and link state up /down) Thanks, David

how to delete the default cluster?

Hello, I'd like to remove the default cluster, but engine refuses telling me that the blank template is associated to it. The problem is that all my vms (nearly 200) are created on the base of that template, so I can't first remove it. Is it mandatory to have fixed IP addres for eth0, for installtion of OVirt

Dear All, As for experimental purpose I have done OVirt installation on CentOS 6.6 and it was success. Till now before installation of OVirt, I used to make the eth0 IP permanent and then install Now I have need to take the machine to different places to demo and discuss about the installation, In this case I need to keep my eth0 on DHCP. Was wondering whether the fixed IP address of eth0 is mandatory or can I use dhcp for the host machine, before installing Ovirt thanks Joseph John
