vm_service.stop in python sdk

One of the example scripts at https://github.com/oVirt/ovirt-engine-sdk/tree/master/sdk/examples is the stop_vm.py. I am trying to use that to stop a vm however, I am finding that what its doing is similar to pulling the power cord rather then running a shutdown -h now on the system. Is that correct? Is there a nicer way to shutdown the VM in the python sdk? Ovirt SYSTEM user does not allow deletion of VM networks

While trying to delete some VM networks from ovirt-node they are re-installed from the SYSTEM user with the generation of the respective event message. Can someone help on how to permanently remove them?

import from qemu+tcp still working ?

Hi oVirt Land Hope you are all well and that you can help me. I build a centos 8.2 vm on my local Fedora 32 qemu/kvm laptop. Then I ssh to my ovirt host in the following manner: ssh ovirthost -R 16666:localhost:16509. I can then view the vm's on my local laptop with the following configuration string: qemu+tcp://localhost:16666/system. Eveything goes according to plan until I hit the import button. It fails almost immediately. I even tried it on the command line and this is what I get, it also error immediately: virt-v2v -ic qemu+tcp://localhost:16666/system -o libvirt -os SOME_STORAGE centos8_ovirt virt-v2v: warning: no support for remote libvirt connections to '-ic qemu+tcp://localhost:16666/system'. The conversion may fail when it tries to read the source disks. Hosted engine deployment fails consistently when trying to download files.

Hello, I'm trying to deploy a hosted engine on one of my test setups. No matter how I tried to deploy the hosted engine, either via command line or via "Hosted Engine" deployment from the cockpit web console, I always fails with the same error message. Anton,I managed to re-create the issue on my local environment. Previously I tested it against Keycloak 8.0.1 with users loaded from LDAP. Currently I have users/groups created via Keycloak management panel. cloud-init: reverts on reboot

cloud-init settings entered into Hosted Engine are reverting after reboot, so what's the correct workflow for using the UI form? I'd like a workflow where I can: 1. start with Template (covers most settings) 2. create VM 3. use cloud-init in the UI (for a few settings, like static IP) 4. start/reboot VM and have cloud-init settings stick How is the above possible?
