Where else should I look? It (seems) to work very well. Just these "Warnings" which only worry me due to the "Failed to acquire lock" messages. This is one of 3 Gluster Storage Domains. The other 2 were "Hand made" and exist since Ovirt-3.5 and show no messages. 1x standalone engine 6x Hypervisors in 2 clusters. One other special condition: I am in the processes of moving my VM's to a second cluster (same Data Center) with a different defined Gluster Network. (New 10Gb cards). All Hypervisors see all Networks. but since there is only one SPM, the SPM is never a "Gluster Peer" of all Domains due to the "only one Gluster Network per Cluster" definition. Is this the Problem/Situation? There is another "Hand Made" Domain in the new Cluster but it does not have any problems. The only difference between the two is that the new Domain was created over the Ovirt Web interface. On the case I'll be able to create an installer, what is the name of the Application need to be there, in order to ovirt detects that Ovirt Guest agent is installed? I have created an installer adding OvirtGuestService files and the Product Name to be shown, a part of the command line post installs.. I have tried with "ovirt-guest-agent" and "Ovirt guest agent" Names for the application installed on Windows 7 guest and even both are presented on ovirt VM Applications tab, on any case LogonVDScommand appears. It got stuck at the stage TASK [Get local VM IP] for about 5 minutes, and failed. Did a search but came out with nothing. I have ovirt currently running with 3 hyper-converged nodes, and loving it. I've had some issues with kubernetes and would prefer to try out openshift / OKD, but the trick is i'd like to do it in a fault-tolerant way, with a load balancer, 2 masters and 3 works, but I can't seem to find a good way to do it, is there anyone that can offer help? I tried using what was posted to the blog, but it was a single-node install and was never updated with part 2.

Hello, I am trying to follow the instructions for installing the metrics store and a prerequisite is ensuring the timestamps in /var/log/ovirt- engine/engine.log include a UTC offset (at bottom of this page: https://www.ovirt.org/documentation/metrics-install-guide/Introduction.html ). Mine currently do not (i.e. they look like "2019-03-07 14:14:23,223Z"). "timedatectl | grep -i 'time zone'" shows "Time zone: Europe/London (GMT, +0000)" Can anyone please tell me how to change this timestamp format to statisfy this prerequisite? You can change the MTU in the network config in oVirt engine. The management portal. Go to clusters then networks or something like that. You can then modify the MTU. MTU can also be set manually in network scripts on the host but you need to define this in the engine. At least this is how I got Infiniband working. I can send screenshots on Monday. oVirt 4.3 and AMD Opteron G3 CPU

Hi, I know, old AMD Opterons G3 are unsupported in oVirt 4.3 but anyway, is there a way to switch cluster to 4.3 mode with these old CPUs? On the other hand 4.2 mode is no problem, I just would like to test new stuff (on legacy hw ;-) Cheers, Jiri Slezka

Hi Drew, During my tests on gluster v3, using 'disable.nfs: false' and using that as ovirt storage brought maximum performance for my 1 Gbit/s network. Can you try using NFS and if it works well, you can disable nfs and get NFS Ganesha up and running. LUN ID Change on Storage Domain

Hi, I made an error when provisioning a new FC storage domain and gave it LUN ID 0 by mistake. I now need to move it to another ID. Can I do this: - 1. Shutdown all VMs on the domain. 2. Put the domain in maintenance. 3. Change the LUN ID. 4. Force SCSI rescan on every host. 5. Bring the domain out of maintenance. Will oVIrt still recognise the domain on a different LUN ID? Hi, I got a config with IB Storage (IPoIB). I would like to extend IB usage to OVN network, but trying to do this i find some problems ... Problem #1 (IPoIB Storage Network) I configure IPoIB Before adding to oVirt cluster (I did it using Cockpit) Create [Bond], assign IP, change MTU. At this moment of time everything is fine... But - I am not able to assign IP/MTU using oVirt Cluster. And I can't perform any changes using Cockpit as IB interfaces are "Unmanaged Interfaces". Problem #1.1 It will be great to avoid users adding IPoIB networks using brctl, as it will not work... Problem #2 What is correct way to move OVN to IPoIB network?

Hello, I have updated a 4.2.8 environment to 4.3.1 So far so good, I have updated cluster level and dc level from 4.2 to 4.3 I notice the field "Firewall type" in my cluster and it is currently set to "iptables". My 3 hosts are CentOS 7.6 plain servers. My external engine is CentOS 7.6 and already with firewalld I seem to remember in the long run only firewalld supported also on hosts. Is this correct and in case is there an ETA/version? What would be the steps to pass my current hosts to firewalld in case?
