If I've understood clearly, your goal is to have two physical network interfaces connected to one logical network in ovirt-engine. If this is the case, you can use bonding/teaming physical interfaces into one and then connect that aggregation to the ovirt-engine logical network. Moreover, as Jeremy stated, you can use that aggregated physical interfaces to transfer VLANs, taking advantages on redundancy/resilience and configuration flexibility. Help/guidelines/ideas on how to create new hosted-engine on final server with old config

I'm looking for guidelines/ideas for moving/migrating/Hosted-engine from the initial install with local storage, to the "Final" server. Initial it was a "Test" to see if this will work or not, but this has now become the production, where the initial host named "ovirt" that is hosting the hosted-engine on local storage is "just" doing that. My hosted-engine is called "ovirtmgr" and I created a new host to run Virtual machines called "Hermod" - getting better in the naming thing, right? I can shut the whole setup down, as long as it runs again in daytime. I do know that I should have started with the hosted-engine in the correct place, but that's not the case anymore. There are eleven VM’s in total Can anyone suggest a plan on how to move/create a new hosted-engine on my server Fenris? Try switching off the lanplus (maybe remove it at all). Fencing Agent using SuperMicro IPMI Fails

I am trying to setup my power management fencing agent on the host. Address: I put in the IP address of the web page for IPMI. (Which does work via my web browser without issue) Username: ADMIN PW: my_password Type: ipmilan Options: lanplus=1 I click on the test button and it fails. Board Manufacturer: Supermicro Board Product Name: X11DPi-N Any suggestions for troubleshooting?

Hi All, After a host reinstall + deploy (UI -> Hosts -> Management -> Reinstall) I see the following error in the ovirt-ha-broker : ovirt-ha-broker mgmt_bridge.MgmtBridge ERROR Failed to getVdsStats: No 'network' in result Anyone got an idea what is it going about ? If you seek performance, then set tuned-adm profile in the VM to 'throughput-performance' and scheduler either 'noop' or 'none' (depends if multi queue is enabled). Usually, if yhou crete the gluster cluster via cockpit and then install the hosted engine via cockpit again - all options on your gluster volumes are the most optimal you need. HE deployment failing - FAILED! => {"changed": false, "msg": "network default not found"}

Hey! I am trying a static IP deployment. But the HE deployment fails during the VM preparation step and throws the following error - [ INFO ] TASK [ovirt.hosted_engine_setup : Parse libvirt default network configuration] [ ERROR ] fatal: [localhost]: FAILED! => {"changed": false, "msg": "network default not found"} I tried restarting the network service, but the error is still persisting. You can also use 'package-cleanup --cleandupes' to remove duplicate packages. Error updating package in engine

Hey guys! I got a wierd issue today doing 'yum upgrade' I'm hoping you can help me with. The transaction failed because of systemd packages. I can't update systemd packages because they're already the latest, but old versions are still around because of ovirt related dependencies: # rpm -q systemd systemd-219-62.el7_6.9.x86_64 systemd-219-67.el7_7.1.x86_64 # rpm -e systemd-219-62.el7_6.9.x86_64 error: Failed dependencies: systemd = 219-62.el7_6.9 is needed by (installed) systemd- python-219-62.el7_6.9.x86_64 # rpm -e systemd-python-219-62.el7_6.9.x86_64 error: Failed dependencies: systemd-python is needed by (installed) ovirt-imageio-proxy- 1.5.1-0.el7.noarch Is this something you are aware of or are am I a special little snowflake? :) /K
